Russia has said it will continue its participation in the Black Sea grain deal that ensures safe passage for ships carrying vital food exports from Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense said Russia received sufficient guarantees from Ukraine and will resume the agreement’s implementation. On Tuesday, however, Russian Ministry of Defense spokesman Igor Konashenkov said that Ukraine had submitted “the necessary written guarantees” that it would not use the humanitarian corridor or ports designated for agricultural exports to launching military operations against Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Moscow reserves the right to pull out of the grain deal if Kyiv breaks its promises and uses the humanitarian corridor for military purposes.
