Romania is further increasing Ukrainian agricultural exports through the Black Sea.

Для покращення логістики у портах "Чорноморськ" і "Рені" Kernel інвестував $44,15 млн.

Among their steps is the creation of an anchorage in the port of Constanta, the construction of which is planned to be completed in March 2024, said the general director of The Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company, Dmytro Moskalenko.

According to him, discussions on the creation of anchorages with Romanian colleagues began back in September. Currently, thanks to the opening of the Odessa ports, the flow of agricultural products through the Danube has decreased. However, the existence of a reserve direction for the export of agricultural products has not lost its relevance, and the Danube may once again revert to the main export channel.

Moskalenko emphasizes that an online queue for the processing of barges in Constanta was agreed on with Romania, which will make the work more predictable.

“Idle barges in Constanta are additional costs for cargo owners and a catastrophic loss of fleet utilization efficiency,” Moskalenko explained.
