On June 6, autonomous trade measures came into effect in the EU, according to which all import duties and quotas for Ukrainian exports to the European market are suspended for one more year. However, the updated rules consider concerns from European producers and include strengthened protection mechanisms and the possibility of an urgent termination of the autonomous trade measures in the event of an emergency on the EU market concerning a defined range of goods (eggs, poultry, sugar, oats, corn, cereals, and honey).
Meanwhile, the Cabinet of Ministers approved an agreement with Hungary on the opening of the Velyka Palad – Nagyhodos crossing point for passenger vehicles, as well as the expansion of traffic at the Luzhanka – Beregsurany crossing point for passenger and cargo transportation.
In addition, Ukraine allocated an additional ₴222M for developing border infrastructure with Poland and modernizing checkpoints.
