Delay with adopting the sixth sanctions package is intolerable, and all arguments against introducing the proposed oil embargo mechanism are far-fetched, stated Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. All the arguments that the oil embargo in the form in which it was submitted for adoption will destroy the economy of Hungary or any other country are far-fetched because the EU has proposed a flexible mechanism for imposing an oil embargo that considers the interests of all country’s members, Kuleba said. He added, “we would all have to conclude only one thing – that Hungary, with its uncompromising position, is simply playing into the hands of the Russian Federation in its efforts to preserve the EU oil market.”
