This announcement was made by the EBRD Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, Matteo Patrone, speaking to the Voice of America. “The EBRD together with the World Bank is cooperating with the Government of Ukraine on the transformation of state-owned banks with the strategic goal of their privatization. The World Bank International Financial Corporation helps to transform Ukrgasbank, the EBRD is engaged in programs with Oschadbank. Eventually, PrivatBank will also be able to become a good asset for private investors,” Matteo Patrone said.
