Poland is studying the possibility of creating an experimental checkpoint which will speed up the passage of trucks due to the joint control of cargo by Polish and Ukrainian border guards.

Grzegorz Ostasz, a member of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIT) board, announced this during a conference devoted to developing transport links between Ukraine and Poland. PAIT notes that more than 2,500 enterprises and organizations have expressed interest in cooperation with Ukrainian businesses.

In addition, according to Ostasz there are 870 Polish companies currently doing business in Ukraine, and Poland is interested in developing cooperation with Ukrainian companies. To make trade between the countries more efficient both sides are interested in speeding up passage at the Ukrainian-Polish border, which has been a big issue for both sides.
