Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria are asking for relief of the problem of the Ukrainian agricultural product surplus.

The leaders of these five EU member states declared an oversaturation of their domestic agricultural product markets because Ukrainian goods do not reach their destinations.

The prime ministers of Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria sent a letter to the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, asking the EU to take measures to solve the problem. It states that the channels intended to deliver Ukrainian products to their destinations do not operate as intended.

As a result, government officials ask the EU to consider the possibility of purchasing surplus products by the 27 EU member states and allocating funds for the fastest possible development of transport and warehouse infrastructure.

The influx of grains, oilseeds, eggs, poultry, sugar, apple juice, apples, berries, flour, honey, and noodles is unprecedented.
