Poland plans to restart Ukrainian grain transit.

Poland plans to restart Ukrainian grain transit.

Grain export by rail

According to government officials, Poland has agreed to resume the transit of Ukrainian grains through its territory beginning Friday. “We will start the passage through Poland of those goods that are on the annex to the regulation from midnight on Friday,” the office of Poland’s prime minister tweeted Friday.

Poland plans to introduce electronic seals and the SENT system for these goods. The regulation will contain a record protecting Poland from leaving goods in its territory.

Kyiv is awaiting official communication from the Polish side on the technical aspects of transporting the products, Ukraine’s Minister of Economic Development and Trade Yulia Svyrydenko said. The announcement comes following Ukrainian-Polish negotiations in Warsaw on Tuesday.
