The Polish government wants to simplify the system of obtaining temporary residence permits for Ukrainians. The government has prepared a system allowing all persons with a PESEL UKR, without exception, to obtain a temporary residence permit. It will be an automatic system that, with the help of one provision, will change the status of temporary protection to the status of temporary residence. Ukrainians will be able to choose whether to remain under the temporary protection offered by the PESEL UKR or obtain a temporary residence permit.
Meanwhile, Germany announced that the country had reached its limit in accepting refugees from Ukraine after registering 1.65 million people. Local MPs warn of overcrowding and call for a more even distribution of refugees across Europe.
At the same time, the Association of Cities and Municipalities of Germany called for accelerating the integration of Ukrainians into the labor market, giving them the opportunity to get a job without knowing the German language.
