said the government commissioner for Polish-Ukrainian development cooperation, Jadwiga Emilewicz, during a meeting in the Kyiv office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
She noted that investment insurance will be carried out by the Polish State Export Credit Insurance Corporation (KUKE), which, since September, has insured and reinsured investment and export contracts not only of Polish enterprises but also of international companies, including Ukrainian ones.
“Currently, KUKE is implementing the first contract in the interests of a company outside of Poland – it is risk insurance for a German company investing in Ukraine,” Emilewicz said.
She called the opening of the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) office in Poland another opportunity to attract investment in Ukraine’s reconstruction. UNOPS implements projects of the UN, international financial institutions, and governments in infrastructure, procurement, project management, financial management, and human resources.
