As the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported, following a Drone Coalition meeting, Canada decided to transfer 450 SkyRanger multi-purpose unmanned aerial systems this summer. Lithuania will also allocate €3M to produce FPV drones, and Germany will transfer VECTOR 211 reconnaissance drones.
In addition, the Netherlands announced its intention to contract a €200M batch of Heidrun RQ-35 drones in cooperation with Denmark and Germany. Moreover, the government of the Netherlands plans to allocate almost €4.4B in additional aid to Ukraine during 2024-2026. However, the document still needs to be approved by the parliament, where some parties must still negotiate to form a coalition. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Netherlands’ aid for Ukraine will amount to about €10B with the most recent package.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Espen Barth Eide, said in Kyiv that the F-16 fighter jets his country is transferring to Ukraine will help Ukraine’s Armed Forces strike deeper into the Russian rear. He also did not rule out Ukraine receiving additional means for deeper strikes into Russia.
