Over the past 1.5 months Epicenter K installed solar energy systems (SES)  in three Kyiv stores and two in Vinnytsia. It is noted that the total capacity of the five SESs, which have already been put into operation, is almost 6,000 kW, equivalent to more than one million 5W light bulbs.

According to the company’s analysts, the installation of SESs will satisfy about 30% of the shopping centers’ energy needs. The solar panels will be able to generate electricity for up to 40 years. They will also be installed at facilities currently under construction in Kyiv, Bucha, and Chabany. Other shopping centers will first be checked for the permissible load on the roof.

According to preliminary estimates, the project’s payback period will be no more than 3.5-4 years.
