The Armed Forces of Ukraine have enlisted air support in the Kursk region offensive, mainly Soviet fighter jets. According to Forbes, a Ukrainian Su-27 struck the Russian command post in Tyotkino. American JDAM aerial bombs were used in the attack.
However, the Ukrainian army is refraining from using F-16 aircraft. They will be used to strengthen air defense and not for riskier ground attacks near the front line, at least initially, the Armed Forces’ commander-in-chief said.
Meanwhile, Britain has authorized the use of British weapons, including Challenger 2 tanks, for the offensive in the Kursk region, except for long-range Storm Shadow missiles.
As of Wednesday evening, the Armed Forces of Ukraine expanded the combat zone in the Kursk Region. The Ukrainian military operation also provoked a collapse of transportation on Russian railways in the regions bordering Ukraine and Belarus. This results from a large-scale transfer of troops to the Kursk region.
