In the second half of March, farmers of the Odesa region began planting spring crops, mainly barley and peas. They have already sown more than 22,000 hectares out of 750,000 planned. According to data from the regional state administration, the agrarians possess 70% of the necessary seed volume, 62% of needed plant protection products, and 46% of the required fuel. “The region’s administration collects and submits applications from agricultural producers to the Ministry of Energy to provide them with available diesel fuel for the sowing campaign,” said the director of the Odesa department of agrarian policy, Alla Stoyanova.
