A flour milling plant with a daily processing capacity of 120 tons of wheat is being built in Cherkasy. The production will be fully automated and equipped with machinery obtained from Turkish ÇIFT Kartal.
Meanwhile, Karkas Group has completed the construction of a grain silo in the Sumy region with capacity of over 20,000 tons. At the core of the new storage facility is the automated Smart Grain Storage system, which manages all of the processes necessary for proper grain storage, from ventilation and lighting to temperature and humidity levels. The company recently launched a similar grain silo with a 10,000-ton capacity in the Ternopil region.
Additionally, the first stage of a grain storage elevator with a total capacity of 30 tons is nearing completion in the Khmelnytskyi region. This facility will serve both as a commercial and production elevator, ensuring the storage and processing of grain, which, after processing, will be transferred to an oil-pressing workshop.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy estimates the total additional need for vegetable storage capacity in the country at 340,000 tons. Before the full-scale Russian invasion, the vegetable storage deficit in Ukraine was 40%, and now it measures 60%.
