According to Prime Minister Denis Shmygal, “Currently, we have about 11.5 billion cubic meters in gas storage facilities, in addition, Naftogaz plans to produce another 3.3 billion cubic meters of gas in the first quarter.” Moreover, the GTS Ukraine Operator is working to create alternative guaranteed facilities for gas imports. To this end, an agreement has already been reached to extend the guaranteed capacity for gas imports from Hungary until September 30 of this year. According to Shmygal, Ukraine has increased its gas import capacity by almost 30%, to 35 million cubic meters per day since the beginning of the year.
