In January-May 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, Ukraine’s national gas and oil company Naftogaz, increased payments to the state budget (excluding dividends) by 34.3% to UAH 47B ($1.55B), stated the CEO of Naftogaz, Yuriy Vitrenko. “According to the results from the first five months of this year, during the war, we increased revenues to the state budget by 34.3% compared to last year,” Vitrenko said. He added that this amount paid by the company is a third of the proceeds to the state treasury. Last week, the Cabinet of Ministers obliged Naftogaz to direct 95% of its profits to the state budget in the amount of UAH 12.4B ($413M).
