Lithuania declares the West's unprecedented war fatigue and offers to resume discussions about Western troops in Ukraine.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, said that in the West fatigue from the Russian war against Ukraine has reached unprecedented heights, and the “Victory Plan” proposed by President Zelenskyy is an attempt to regenerate momentum.

“This fatigue forces us to look for solutions, which is why we increasingly hear talk of ‘peace,’ which, in my estimation – would be more of a proposal for capitulation.”

According to the minister, the most important item is security guarantees for Ukraine, and for Europe, there is no better guarantee than NATO’s article 5. In his opinion, Ukraine’s invitation to NATO is now quite realistic, as there have already been similar examples in history, particularly in Germany, but the political will to do so is needed.

Landsbergis also said that in light of recent reports regarding the involvement of North Korean troops in the war in Ukraine, the West should return to discussions centered on sending troops to Ukrainian territory.
