Leading Ukrainian IT companies are losing specialists.

Over the past 15 years, Ukrainian IT companies have attracted almost $3.7B in investments.

The number of specialists in Ukraine’s 50 largest IT companies decreased by 6,100, or (6.6%), in half a year, reported DOU. So, as of July, there are 86,300 total specialists in the top 50, compared to 92,400 last winter. 15 out of 50 companies maintained growth dynamics in the first half of the year. In particular, 42 companies hired 4,441 new specialists during the year’s first half.

On the other hand, 34 companies show negative dynamics. Last winter the main reason for this was the relocation and legalization of Ukrainian specialists abroad, now the number of clients and, accordingly, projects is decreasing. Companies are not so active in opening new offices.

EPAM and DataArt have opened the most offices and co-working spaces in Ukraine. At the same time, almost half of the companies have up to 25% of their Ukrainian team abroad. Only three companies have an entire team in Ukraine.
