Land reform in Ukraine has been launched, and in the coming years land prices may increase by 20% - Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

Since the land market’s opening in 2021, the price of land in Ukraine has increased from ₴39,000/hectare to ₴46,000/hectare in 2024, and its value may increase by approximately 20% in the following years, Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaly Koval said.

“The land market is gradually gaining commercial attractiveness. Caution was observed in 2021. In the first year of the market opening, 74,392 land plots – 178,344 hectares – changed hands. In 2024, 193,560 plots, or almost 400,000 hectares, were alienated. This level of market volatility and liquidity makes it possible to say that the land reform has been implemented,” he said.

The minister also notes that the first auctions for the lease of state lands will take place on October 1 on Prozorro.Sales. As part of the Land Bank program, participants can rent land plots of various sizes, starting from 2 hectares to 3,969 hectares – the largest plot – in the Kirovohrad region.
