Kyiv’s office real estate market shows signs of recovery,

announced Colliers, a consulting company. Despite the volume of new office space supply, there was a stable average vacancy rate in the A and B class business centers at the end of 2021 – 11.5%. The highest base monthly rental rate rose from $26 per square meter in 2020 to $27 per month in 2021. There was also an increase in the lower limit of the A-class: from $18 to $20. In the B class, the $11 to $14 rental rate range has increased to $14 to$19. The total rented office space in 2021 was about 130,000 square meters, which is 30% higher than in 2020 (100,000 square meters). For comparison, in the 2019 pre-pandemic year, the rented rate was 170,000 square meters. The most active office space tenants were companies in the IT sector, whose share of the demand is 51%.
