Industrial and construction group Kovalska received a €27M loan from Invest International to make environmentally friendly aerated concrete blocks and panels in Rozvadov, Lviv region, said CEO Serhii Pylypenko.

The Dutch Good Growth Fund financed the loan, which will be used to purchase equipment and commission a new production plant. The total investment amount in the project is €42M.

Aircrete Europe’s production technology for making light concrete, known in the industry as “autoclaved aerated concrete”, saves approximately 20% of energy consumption in buildings due to its insulating properties.

The plant is expected to create additional direct local employment totaling roughly 350-400 jobs during construction and approximately 240 new jobs during the operational phase. Moreover, the project aims to contribute to international efforts to support Ukraine’s recovery and develop an innovative, modern, and green economy.
