Japan allocates more than $12B in aid to Ukraine.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that Japan will provide Ukraine with $12.1B in aid, including previously announced and allocated amounts.

“This is, in particular, a grant worth $4.7B, which we will receive by the end of this month,” he said.

Japan also provided Ukraine a $100M grant for Phase 3 of the Emergency Recovery Program. It is noted that the program, among other things, will be aimed at energy services, transport connections, and equipment for humanitarian demining.

Currently, with the support of the Japanese government, the Emergency Recovery Programs Phase 1 and Phase 2 are being successfully implemented.

The programs are already transferring important special equipment for energy, transport, agricultural, medical, and educational needs, debris waste management, drainage, water supply, and demining.
