said the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Herman Galushchenko, presenting the Energy Strategy of Ukraine until 2050 at URC2023. In particular, the investment opportunities in wind generation are $134B, solar – $62B, hydrogen technology – $72B, energy storage – $25B, nuclear generation – $80B, transmission systems – $5B, and hydropower – $4.5B.
The minister emphasized that Energy Ukraine’s strategy envisages the restoration of the energy sector using the most modern technologies, strengthening the system’s stability, and strengthening the energy security of Ukraine and the European continent as a whole.
Its key task is to transform Ukraine into Europe’s energy hub, which will help the continent finally eliminate dependence on Russian fossil fuels and pivot to clean energy produced in Ukraine.
