The growth of consumer prices in Ukraine in March 2024 slowed to 3.2% in annual terms. This is the lowest value since October 2020, when annual inflation was 2.6%, reported the State Statistics Service.
In March, prices increased by 0.5% and have increased since the beginning of the year by 1.2%. Food products and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 0.2% over the year. Butter prices increased the most – by 13.5%, milk by 8.8%, and meat and meat products by 7.7%.
At the same time, eggs declined in price by 34.3%, oil by 17.4%, sugar by 13.3%, and vegetables by 12.2%. Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 8.4%, while prices for clothes and shoes fell by 6.7%.
Housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuel types rose in price by 12.8%. Healthcare services increased by 9.1%, transport by 6%, prices for recreation and culture fell by 2.3%, and education prices increased by 11.8%.
