In which regions of Ukraine is housing becoming more expensive?

Over the past six months, the most expensive housing in the primary market has been in Kropyvnytskyi – by 8% to $1,070 per square meter. Last year, three new residential complexes were built in the city, but not a single apartment was put into operation.

Prices also increased by 8% in Rivne, where a square meter of a new apartment costs $920. Prices rose by 4% in Cherkasy and Ivano-Frankivsk, where on average asking prices are $710 and $830 per square meter, respectively. In Ternopil, real estate in new buildings has increased by 3% to $690 per square meter. In Lutsk and Khmelnytskyi, the cost of housing in new buildings has increased by 2%, to $850 and $650 per square meter, respectively.

Similar trends are observed in terms of rental housing. Prices in Ivano-Frankivsk increased the most in the last six months by 16%, to an average of ₴14,000 ($331.5) per month to rent a one-room apartment. Prices also increased in Odesa by 14%, Lviv – 9%, Khmelnytskyi – 5%, Vinnytsia – 4%, Kyiv – 1%.
