In the first half of the year, the average number of visitors to shopping malls in Ukraine increased by 4% compared to last year. According to UTG, the number of visitors to shopping and entertainment centers was 380 per 1,000 square meters, while in 2023 this figure was 367 people. The number of visitors to regional shopping malls increased from 280 to 305 people. For comparison, due to the war and the closure of shopping malls, the number of visitors in mid-2022 dropped to an all-time low of 291 people.

On November 1, the first stage of the largest shopping center in Uzhhorod – the Korona shopping mall, will open, one of the few shopping malls opening in 2024. After the construction is completed on the next two phases, the Korona mall will become the largest three-story shopping mall in Uzhhorod, with a total area of 14,000 square meters. The first phase of the project is 100% occupied by tenants.
