According to the Operator of the GTS of Ukraine, Slovakia was the leader in gas transportation to Ukraine, with 611.8 million cubic meters, or 56% of all August’s volume. Hungarian gas storage amounted to 215.9 million cubic meters, or 20% of the volumes. Also, 166.9 million cubic meters came from Moldova (15%), and Poland contributed 98.4 million cubic meters (9%).

Last month, the total import of natural gas from EU countries to Ukraine amounted to 1.1 billion cubic meters. The main volumes were imported for storage by non-resident traders. Since the beginning of the year, more than 1.8 billion cubic meters have arrived in Ukraine from the EU countries and Moldova. This is due to gas reserves in the PSG of Europe exceeding 100 billion cubic meters.
