In 2023, a new checkpoint will be opened on the border with Poland.

The new Nyzhankovychi-Malkhovichi checkpoint on the border between Ukraine and Poland should be operational in 2023, said the deputy head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Yuriy Buchko. He added that there are also plans to restore the railway connection from Khyrov to Przemyśl via Nyzhankovychi. “On the Ukrainian side, we are repairing the railway from Nyzhankovych to Nove Misto. The Polish side allocated 40 million zlotys to repair its seven km long section. Work is ongoing from Przemyśl to the border in Malhovych,” Buchko said.
