In 2021, Ukraine imported $8.2B worth of agricultural products, which is 19% more than in 2020, when imports amounted to $6.9B. According to the Institute of Agrarian Economics, in 2021, the main supplier of agricultural products to Ukraine remained the EU. The number of imports from last year amounted to $4,217M (in 2020 – $3,554M). The share of EU products in the composition of last year’s total agricultural imports was 51.6%. Imports of food from Asia amounted to $1,533M (share of imports 18.7%), Latin America – $634 million (7.8%), the CIS – $343 million (4.2%) and Africa – $342 million (4.2%).
