Another provocative statement was made in Hungary regarding the Russian Federation’s aggression. The statement includes the position that the Western world should provide “security guarantees” to Russia, not Ukraine’s membership in the North Atlantic Alliance.
In the long term, “the deployment of peacekeepers and countless similar decisions can ensure lasting peace in Ukraine,” said the head of the Hungarian Prime Minister’s Office, Gergely Gulyas. He is also convinced that effective negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine can only occur with the participation of the United States.
Gulyas added that Ukrainians will not be able to return to the territories occupied by Russia. In addition, the government official noted that Russia does not threaten Central Europe since the army of the aggressor country “did not achieve quick and striking results” in the last year and a half in Ukraine.
