Ukrainian hryvnia is among the ten currencies in the world that strengthened the most against the US dollar in 2021. According to Ukrinform, this is supported by Bloomberg ratings, with currencies in Eastern Europe’s best performer this year. According to Deputy Governor, Serhiy Nikolaychuk, the central bank sees a rising appetite for hryvnia-denominated debt, and will not stand in the way of the hryvnia’s rally as it’s helping keep a lid on the country’s double-digit inflation.
