The main buyers of Ukrainian sunflower oil from January to June this year were Spain and Italy, which accounted for 12.88% and 12.18% of exports, respectively, followed by India with an 11.77% share. These countries spent $357M, $337.5M, and $326M on Ukrainian sunflower oil, respectively. Overall, in the first half of the year, Ukrainian sunflower oil exports totaled more than 2.4 million tons, generating up to $2.77B in revenue.
However, rapeseed oil exports this year decreased by about 72.2% compared to January-June 2024, falling to 19.99 million tons, with revenue down roughly 65.5%, totaling $58.02M. The main buyers of Ukrainian rapeseed oil were the Netherlands, which accounted for 39.29% of the exported volume and brought Ukraine $7.75M, Germany with 21.44% ($4.23M), and Slovakia with 13.13% ($2.59M).
Meanwhile, Ukraine increased its soybean oil exports this year by 52% from 287.05 million tons a year ago, doubling revenue to $295M. The most active buyers of Ukrainian soybean oil were Poland – accounting for 63.97% of exports and $188.7M, India – 9.02% and $26.62M, and Germany – 4.04% and $11.93M.
