Germany will turn Ukraine and its refugees into skilled workers.

Germany will turn Ukraine and its refugees into skilled workers.

A team of successful women

The German government has approved a draft law that eases immigration rules for skilled workers and expands the professional training system for foreigners. The German parliament is expected to approve the bill this week.

The new law will allow up to 60,000 new qualified workers to enter the labor market each year. The law aims to improve the qualifications of foreigners so that they can find a job paying at least €3,500 per month, enabling them to stay, live, and work in Germany. Germany needs 400,000 new skilled workers every year.

As of May 2023, over 1.06 million refugees from Ukraine have been recorded in Germany.
