German Economy Minister Robert Habeck is disappointed that the EU has not yet approved an oil embargo against Russia, reported Reuters. However, Habeck added that Germany was ready to renounce Hungary’s reluctance toward the embargo in order to quicken the proposed ban. “If the president of the European Commission says that we will do it without Hungary, that is a path that I will always support,” said Habeck. At the same time, he noted that he had not yet heard such a proposal from the EU. Among the 27 EU member states, Hungary is the most vocal critic of the planned embargo on Russian oil.
