 The German Ministry of Economics is considering the nationalization of Gazprom’s and Rosneft’s divisions due to concerns over the security of the energy supply, reported Handelsblatt. Such discussions, which also involve Chancellor Olaf Scholz, are based on concerns about the safety of supply in Germany, as several government officials have confirmed to Handelsblatt. In the event of an imbalance between these companies, which are systemically important to Germany, the federal government wants to prevent a massive deterioration in energy supplies.
