Germany is close to allowing Ukraine to strike targets in Russia, the US is slowly warming to the idea, and Denmark will allow F-16 fighter jets to attack inside Russia.

According to Politico, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz may allow Ukraine to strike Russia with German weapons. He declared that Ukraine has a right to use German weapons “within international law.”

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, speaking in Moldova, said that as conditions on the battlefield have changed, the US has “adapted and adjusted” the support and weapons it provided. When asked if this means the US will change its policy regarding strikes on targets in the Russian Federation, he noted: “We have constantly adapted and adjusted as needed. And we will do so in the future”.

Blinken clarified that Ukraine can use American air defense equipment to eliminate Russian missiles or fighter jets over the territory of the Russian Federation.

Denmark will also allow the use of its weapons, in particular F-16 fighters, against military targets in the Russian Federation.

Following Denmark’s lead, Norway announced a similar position on its weapons provided for Ukraine.
