Ukraine’s allies will repair worn out and war-damaged large-caliber equipment. According to an intergovernmental agreement between Germany and Slovakia, a special center was created in Slovakian territory in the suburb of Mykhailivtsi, 25 km from the border with Ukraine, close to Uzhhorod. This will make it possible to transfer equipment quickly between the front and the repair center, said the head of the special staff of the German Defense Ministry from Ukraine, Christian Freuding. Also, the new repair center will restore German Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled guns, which Ukraine received from Germany earlier this year. However, it is not known whether they will repair Soviet era weapons or only Western equipment.
