Fuel imports to Ukraine by truck have increased 15 times.

Since the beginning of May, fuel imports over the road have increased 15 times and imports by river transport and rail by five times compared to March, reported Forbes Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, oil consumption in Ukraine has fallen by 72%. The needs for May are about 100,000 tons of gasoline and 250,000 tons of diesel, said Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko. He added, “The Russians destroyed our oil depots, particularly the largest one, the Kremenchug refinery. Of course, this has affected the market. We were forced to restructure logistics completely.” The Minister stressed that the volume of imports is growing every day, and the problem of fuel shortages will be solved soon.
