From the Editor:

Poland is taking all the necessary steps to attract Ukrainian workers. This includes the issuing of long-term visas, permanent residency, EU standard working conditions, and providing vaccinations for the workforce. Parallel to this, Germany is also working hard to attract Ukrainian staff to keep its transport infrastructure moving, employing truck and train drivers from Ukraine who is attracted by the promise of EU standard salaries and benefits. It is ironic that the Ukrainian government and industry do little to keep its citizens living and working at home. Salary levels across sectors are fragmented and have not kept up with the rate of inflation, and at times, do not provide an income for an acceptable standard of living. Should the trend of Ukrainian workers leaving continue for another 10 to 15 years, we will see a nation with a limited production capacity.
