Freight traffic on the Dnipro River in 2021 increased by 28%.

The volume of freight traffic on the Dnieper River in 2021 amounted to 14.36M tons, which is 28% more than in 2020. According to the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine, the most common items transported were: construction cargo 9.5M tons (an increase of 62.8%), grain 3.61M tons (2.4% less than in last year), and metal products 1.22M tons (a decrease of 33.4%). In addition, in 2021, 24.5 thousand tons of oil products were transported along the Dnieper (a reduction of 43.8%). The number of passages for the last year amounted to 15.838 thousand (an increase of 36.8%).
