France will continue to provide military aid to Ukraine in 2024, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said after a meeting between Ukrainian and French delegations in Kyiv. In turn, Ukraine will buy additional Caesar self-propelled artillery installations. The parties also considered strengthening cooperation in the defense sphere and establishing logistical support between the countries.

“We understand Ukrainian needs. That’s why France will increase the supply of ammunition next year,” said Jean-Francois Doc, head of the Ukraine Support Fund.

In addition, France plans to complete an agreement with Ukraine on security guarantees by the end of the year. The deal will outline a framework for long-term humanitarian aid, reconstruction support, and military assistance. The security guarantees will not include detailed financial figures or commitments, as the French government does not want it to go to parliament for approval.
