For the first time since the start of the full-scale war, Nasdaq-listed global insurance broker WTW has announced the launch of war risk insurance for overland cargo in Ukraine in partnership with Ukrainian insurance company VUSO.
This new type of insurance can be used by both Ukrainian and foreign enterprises that move goods and products by land within Ukraine’s borders.
The insurance pool is led by Lloyd’s Markel syndicate. WTW’s partnership with VUSO solves the difficult problem of insuring cargo against war risks, which had been impossible since the start of the full-scale invasion.
WTW is confident that this initiative will provide the necessary capacity to facilitate important trade and transport operations within Ukraine.
