For the first time in two years, more than 60% of Ukrainian companies have long-term plans.

This is the highest indicator since October 2022, according to a survey by the Institute of Economic Research (IER). At the same time, the share of those who plan to reduce their activities in the next two years decreased to 2.8%. The share of enterprises that plan to maintain their current activity indicators has increased from 69.8% to 79.6%.

The share of enterprises that could not provide answers regarding their expectations of the financial and economic situation for their enterprise and the general economic situation for the next six months increased somewhat. However, since August 2023 these indicators have remained below 20%.

“The obtained data give reason to talk about the spring awakening of Ukrainian business. We have observed an improvement in short-term business expectations regarding the utilization of own capacities, availability of customers, etc., but at the same time, some growth in medium- and short-term uncertainty“, noted IER Director Oksana Kuzyakiv.

More than 500 Ukrainian industrial enterprises participate in the monthly IER survey.
