The seventeenth aid package’s preparation is in progress. By the eighteenth, heavy weapons and ammunition will be included, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo said at a joint press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv. The aid will arrive in Ukraine next week.
In total, Finland has already provided Ukraine with €1.7B in aid. In September, Ukraine will also receive a NASAMS air defense system from Lithuania.
In addition, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, reported that after the meeting with his Finnish colleague, Finland, together with the private sector, is preparing a national plan to help Ukraine in post-war reconstruction. Among other issues that were discussed at the meeting of government heads were the development of logistics, the confiscation of Russian assets, European integration, and Ukraine’s restoration.
