Europe must overcome its geopolitical stupor and accelerate the development of its defense strategy, which will include investments in Ukraine.

“I spoke about the need to wake Europe from its economic and geopolitical stupor… Recent events and a different perspective from the US now compel us not only to confront the truth, but also to act swiftly and implement solutions that we have been discussing for some time,” said Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

He emphasized that European defense policy should contribute to creating a deterrent force that will ensure greater autonomy in the continent’s security.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski believes that the European Union should allocate resources to provide growth opportunities for Ukrainian defense enterprises and directly procure these products for Ukrainian military assistance as well as to enhance European defense capabilities.

“We should provide funds directly to the Ukrainian defense industry, establish joint ventures, or even purchase their drones. We need to learn from them and buy from them to prepare for deterrence, to be ready to counter a conflict that we hope never occurs,” he noted.
