The heads of diplomacy from Ukraine and the EU discussed military support for Ukraine. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, said: “I am grateful to Josep Borrell for his willingness to intensify work on finding Patriot systems available for Ukraine.”
Following the meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Kuleba said that he immediately took measures in response to Ukraine’s call to provide additional Patriot air defense systems.
At the same time, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Margus Tsahkna, noted: “We have many air defense systems, such as Patriot, which we ourselves do not use, but Ukraine is under intense attacks every day”.
During a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council, Kyiv called for more Patriot air defense systems to combat ballistic missiles.
In turn, Germany, as the head of the air defense coalition, initiated an analysis of the existing Patriot batteries and other air defense systems and the combinations necessary for their transfer to Ukraine.
