EU will allocate at least €1.4 mln to reinforce the existing state border.

The announcement was made after a meeting between the Minister of Internal Affairs, Denis Monastyrsky, and the Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Matti Maasikas. The Interior Ministry proposes to consider the redistribution of part of the budget of the second phase of the joint EU4IBM project for the urgent arrangement of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border and increase the capacity of the State Border Guard Service. In return, Maasikas assured that Ukraine could already count on 1.4 mln, and within a few months, the European partners will agree to a significant increase in this amount.
