A meeting of the ministers of agriculture from the five EU countries where the ban on the import of Ukrainian grain until September 15 is in effect will take place on July 19. EU officials will discuss further plans for importing Ukrainian products, the Ministry of Agriculture of Poland reported.

Representatives from Moldova will join the ministers of Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Romania. In addition, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Solsky, was invited to the meeting.

Poland will also apply to the European Commissioner for Trade, Valdis Dombrovskis, to impose an embargo on the import of frozen raspberries and strawberries from Ukraine. The reason for this step is the large import volume of soft fruits from Ukraine, which causes significant complications for Polish producers due to decreased wholesale purchase prices.
