German-made Leopard tanks will be provided to Ukraine by eight countries, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin said at the beginning of the Ramstein-style meeting. This includes Germany, Poland, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands. At the same time, Norway will send a quarter of its fleet of Leopard 2 tanks, eight in total, to Ukraine. In addition, the country will provide four more special-purpose tanks. The US and the Czech Republic will provide tanks in addition to the T-72s already received from Poland. In addition, the US, Germany, and the Netherlands will supply Ukraine with Patriot air defense systems and France and Italy will provide SAMP/T air defense systems.
